Southern Texas

If It's True That A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words...

Posting these seven photos of our current trip (from Ontario to Southern Texas) will surely save a lot of words.

Besides, I knew you'd be less likely to take the time to read 7000 words!

I think these 7 photos will give you an idea of some of the highlights of the first 2 weeks of the our current trip. We left Ontario just after Christmas and are now enjoying the sunny beaches of the Texas Gulf Coast.

Departure Dec 28, 2007

Our departure on December 28th. We are SO READY to leave the snow behind!

Abraham Lincoln's Birthplace National Historic Site

We were making good time on the trip south, but when the sun came out as we entered Kentucky, the urge to start shunpiking was so strong we took to the scenic back roads. At Hodgenville, Kentucky we visited Abraham Lincoln's birthplace.

Nashville Christmas Lights

In Nashville we stopped to see the Christmas light display at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.

Randy at Gibson Guitar Factory

And Randy gets to play a $3000.00 Gibson Guitar.

Life on the beach

On day 7 we arrived to warm sunny days at the Gulf Coast. This is a picture of our life on the beach!

Free beach camping

Where the living is easy and the camping (right on the beach) is free.

Randy learns to shuck an oyster

We've met some wonderful people. Here local fishing guide, Rick Kelly teaches us how to shuck oysters ... a gift fom fellow RVers.
