Licencing the Inported RV in Ontario

by Michael
(Milton Ontario)

Yes, we got a great deal on a 26ft rv trailor,so much so, that the Canadain Customs Officer had a hard time beliving the low price.

We bought it from a large Buffalo RV Dealer so we had all the paperwork but the boarder wanted to see proof of payment. (cancelled check) which we did not have but luckily I had a TD bank app on my smart phone and accessed my bank records which showed the payment and we were on our way.

Second - I parked the RV on my lot up north and took the paperwork to the Service Canada licence office to get a licence for the RV. I had all the paperwork but they said I had to take the RV to a Canadian Tire Store and they had to inspect and stamp the paper work before I could get it registered.Who Knew? Well now it is snowed in.

Apparently I am supposed to get a form from the Min of Transportation that tells me to do this within 10 days...stay tuned
