The Frugal Shunpiker's Guides are only sold as ebooks. Because they're not printed, there's no shipping charge and I can easily send you a free replacement if you lose the file.
An ebook is an electronic file, a digital edition of a book-length publication. Upon purchase of your Frugal Shunpiker's Guide, you'll be sent a link to download and save the file on your computer. Choose (or create) a folder on your computer to save it in so you'll remember where it is. Now you can access and read the ebook on your computer anytime, anywhere. You won't require an Internet connection to read it.
The guides are sent as a PDF file - a very common document format. Almost all computers these days come with a PDF reader, a program that can read a PDF file. If you cannot open the file, it's possible you may need to download a reader. Two excellent, well known, dependable, and FREE readers are Foxit Reader and Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you already have one of these but it's not reading the file, you may need to download their latest version. Personally, I prefer Foxit but Adobe works just fine in most cases.
If you have a smart phone or tablet of any type, you can have the guides at your fingertips at all times, even when you have no Internet connection. Just follow these simple steps to add the ebooks to your device:
On an Android device, it's even simpler.
You own the guide. Of course you may print a copy for your own use - either on your own printer or at a print shop such as Staples (they will charge per page). Tip: Printing in black and white is generally less than half the cost of color. The easiest way to take the file to a print shop is to transfer it to a USB thumb drive. If the print shop requests consent from the author, simply show them your proof of purchase or contact me; I'm happy to send my permission.
The most popular readers, Kindle, Nook, Kobo, and Sony Reader, require various file formats to render properly. At the moment, I'm unable to offer a selection of formats to suit every requirement. The PDF is still the most common and widely accepted format and it works well on all devices (whether PC or Mac) except for ebook readers. While you can try, I cannot guarantee that the Frugal Shunpikers Guide ebooks will load or display correctly on your ebook reader. Some clients have reported success and others have managed to convert the PDF file into a suitable format using a free file converter such as Calibre.
