American Electric Power Company in South Eastern Ohio offers free boondock camping. They have several campsites with water, trash, and pit toilets. Many recreation opportunities are available. It is near The Wild's.

McConnelsville, Ohio -Great Place to Relax

Several years ago, my son and I spent a week here. There were a over 600 small lakes for fishing, 6 campgrounds, 24 miles of trails for hiking.
Local sawmills brought in their scrap for firewood a couple times that week.
McConnelsville is nearby for supplies and where we got our permit. The permit is now available online at 'AEP.com/environment/conservation/recland/pdf/PERMIT.pdf'.
If you are in the area this is well worth the visit.
