"... any marriage that's already on the rocks is not likely to survive in the close quarters of RV living."

Speaking, unfortunately, from personal experience, you're right.

Lucy, of Charlie Brown cartoon strip fame, said, "Familiarity breeds contempt!"

I don't want to get into it any deeper than that, but I do want to say that you have a great website. Very insightful!

While on a walk a few days ago, a neighbor approached us. He said he and his wife were thinking about going on longer trips with their RV (a large motorhome) but were wondering about being in such close quarters for extended periods of time. (We tow a 20-foot travel trailer around the southwest for 3-4 winter months and also do a 5-6 week trip to our Upper Peninsula in Michigan every Fall.). My response to our neighbor was, "If you're not pretty nuts about your spouse at home, it's probably not going to be any better on the road."

And a quote from Snoopy:
"My life has no direction, no aim, no meaning and yet I'm happy. I can't figure it out. What am I doing right?
