Not sure what makes you feel you've taken "2 steps back" or what your emotional issues are, but here are a few management ideas. Maybe your trips are too short or too long? We take 2 to 3-month trips (now that we're retired) and it does take a while each time to get into the rhythm. There's a "shakedown" phase of relearning every time. A self-made manual helps! We have a couple of laminated checklists. Also don't know if you're traveling alone or with a partner. I take care of things inside while Peter goes around the outside of the truck & camper, checking & adjusting. I don't think I could do it all alone! Travel can be hard on electrical connections; we carry a tiny bottle of contact de-oxidizer, and it helps! We spare our camper battery with LEDs & a hand pump for water. Solar panel on top. Excess humidity builds up quickly & dissipates slowly, so we have a tiny quiet computer fan in the back wall, that runs all the time.
