When threatened just open the door and spray the wasp in the eyes and mouth. Problem solved. so simple.

The use of wasp spray as a "defensive weapon" almost reaches urban legend status, mainly suggested by folks who haven't really done much research into the subject (and indeed even Snopes has an entry for this: http://www.snopes.com/crime/prevent/waspspray.asp)

I suggest that anyone contemplating using wasp spray in this manner first check the relevant laws of their locale, as well as do a little research into what the experts (legal and self defense) say on the matter.
