When Bear Spray Isn't Enough...

Just a note in reference to bear spray...it will blow back in your own face with the slightest draft. I find keeping a couple of cans of WASP spray handy (no expiration date, cheap)...gives you 30'. And don't forget your fire extinguishers...pull pin, aim, squeeze, and spray..aim for the face, be it human or animal. It's cheap, refillable, and doesn't raise concern while you're running around with one in your possession.

Having hiked, and backpacked most my life up to this point, I've found these items to come in handy.

When I go full-time RVing next year, they'll be in my "first aid kit" for sure.
